Greetings, @user_kbi3z9! I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about this unexpected billing increase. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.
The most common reason for a new bill to be higher than the previous month's bill is because a promotion or discount has ended, or is coming to an end. You can always tell when a promotion is supposed to end by looking at the third page of any past billing statement that was issued at the old rate (when it was $-70.00 lower). There will be a text box on page 3 titled "Regular monthly charges" with a section in green writing, sometimes labeled "Contract Discount", indicating the length of the promotion, amount of the monthly discount, and the exact day that discount will be ending. Here is a link on how to view your bills in PDF format online https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/viewing-your-bill-online-ecobill.
The great thing is, if you do have a discount that recently expired, or will be expiring soon, we should be able to find you a new discount to replace it. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.
To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” (speech bubble) icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the section, type or select "Xfinity Support" and type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session. You can see how to send us a direct message here, https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/guidelines/how-to-direct-messaging-within-the-forum/697ba1e570934d009185c514.
