Beware of Xfinity Randomly adding services to your bill

I remember paying around $48 per month for my internet which was do able. In the last few months, my bill had randomly tripled. I had thought it was late fees after not paying for some time due to some financial issues, however when looking further I noticed that they added Xfinity home phone which was $30 onto my service. After trying to not only take this service off, I tried changing my address which hasn’t changed (after many attempts and to no avail) and it says that I cannot take this service off.

I literally JUST paid this astronomical amount of money that I can use for other things and have paid it maybe for 2 months? And my address is still not changed…

Hello. user_p1506k. Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and for joining us here on the subreddit. I’m really sorry to hear about your experience—this isn’t what we want for any of our customers, and we truly appreciate the opportunity to help in any way we can.
When it comes to account changes, customers are always asked to review and approve an offer before it’s applied to the account. That review includes all services involved, along with any relevant pricing and promotional details.
To better understand what happened, I wanted to confirm a couple of things. Is this the first month that Xfinity Voice services are appearing on your invoice? Also, does your bill show that a promotion recently expired? I ask because some previous promotions may have included Xfinity Voice as part of a bundled price, which can sometimes make a package appear more cost-effective than it would be without that service.
You can find this information in the “Your Bill Explained” section of your statement. That area highlights what’s different compared to prior bills, including any increases or decreases due to service changes, as well as any discounts currently applied, if applicable. How does the most recent statement compare to the last?
