Being stonewalled by 'Custmer Service'

Have been a customer of Xfinity/Comcast for at least 15 years.  Two months ago - they suddenly starting charging us an 'extra' 11.95 for a land line we've  had for 15 years - on one of their 'plans' we signed up way back then (always had 2 land lines and the phone numbers to prove it - but all of a sudden - two months ago - we didn't - so charge them extra!!!).  We decided we did not need land lines - if they changed the plan and now wanted to charge an additional 11.95 a month for something we barely use - we didn't need them.  Called Xfinity on 06/19/26 - requested the landlines be REMOVED from our account.  The 'customer service' rep claimed he removed them - and sent me a confirmation e-mail with the new revised billing - about $50 a month less.  Consequently, I logged into my account the next day to pay what I thought would be revised bill.  I could get into my account - but could do nothing - receiving an error message to try again laterr.  Tried for a week to log in and pay what I thought would be a revised bill.  Could not get into billing.  Finally logged in thru my phone to find no revision to the bill.  I paid it - figuring they would pro-rate a credit this month.  Got my e-mail about my bill being ready to pay this month.  Logged in.  Nothing changed.  Land lines still on there!  Called one number - nothing but a sales guy.  Hung up.  Called another number.  Got a lady (Mia - who said she could no give me her cust service agent #) who, basically, refused to remove the landlines - claiming she had no power to revise the bill OR remove the land lines.  I have the confirmation e-mail that the landlines were requested removed and the itemization for the new billing.  Basically, xfinity is denying everything they sent me on 06/19 in that e-mail  They lied.  I explained to Mia - you can either have us a CONTINUING CUSTOMER (n a time when there are multiple/more options for internet connectivity) OR you cannot have me as a customer which equals $0.00 you'll be billing me.  Mia claimed (after giving me some attitude and push back) that there was another department that  had to 'disconnect' the landlines - and forwarded me to some 'account executive' who had the power to 'disconnect' the land lines.  (Disconnecting the landlines is a separate issue from taking them off my bill - it was just a run-around).  He put me on hold three times - said he could take care of the problem and the credit to the account dating from 06/19 and remove the landlines and provide me with itemization for new billing - then dropped the call and never called back.  What t he????  Lied, said one thing - did another - rude customer service - all designed to NOT reduce my bill.  Doesn't this border on fraudulent business practices?  Taking money and not providing the service being paid for?

user_bsfemf Hi there, thank you for taking the time to share these details. I’m truly sorry for the frustration this has caused, especially after being a long-time Xfinity customer and after already receiving confirmation that your landline services were removed from the account.
Were your services being repackaged into a new plan, or were the phone numbers being ported to another carrier?
