Bee-Infested Comcast Pedestal

Hello,
My wife and I have been trying to get this problem resolved with Comcast for MONTHS and have not yet been properly assisted with this matter.  We recently purchased a house with a Comcast pedestal in the backyard.  A family of bees have colonized inside the Comcast pedestal and we are not able to remediate the problem because Comcast has refused to unlock the pedestal for us.
We have called many bee keepers and exterminators in the area that tell us there is no way to resolve the problem unless the Comcast pedestal is unlocked and opened so that they can extract all the honey inside.  They have all explained that even if we could exterminate every bee that has made that Comcast pedestal their home, new colonies will continue to come because they can smell the honey... This has already happened twice.
Both of my children have life-threatening allergies to bee stings and have not been able to enjoy their backyard since we moved to the new house 6 months ago.  PLEASE, I need assistance with this matter.  We either need a Comcast employee to come & unlock the pedestal for us, OR, we need to be provided with the key, so that we may unlock it ourselves, and remediate this problem.

Hello @danny3364, thanks for reaching out to us on our Forums page and bringing this to our attention. This is shocking to see and I'm sure even more so in person. It's unsettling to hear you have not received proper assistance with getting someone out to unlock the pedestal, but my team is here to help. We definitely do not want anyone to be harmed by this hazardous situation and we absolutely want to assist you with this ASAP. Please send us a Private Chat Message for further assistance.

Hello, this is still unresolved. Here is another picture of them today; it doesn't look like much here, but there are hundreds of thousands bees taking over my backyard. PLEASE HELP! This can kill my children and it's been months with no resolution.

Good morning! I know how important it is to get this resolved, but as promised we are here for you. The ticket I submitted resulted in an email being sent to tech ops in your area for this safety concern. We are going to further investigate this, and we will be in touch as soon as we have an update to share.

I no longer work for Comcast.

I'd also like to add that my backyard is parallel to a main street in Miami (Sunset Drive)... There is a bus stop directly on the other side of the concrete wall that is shown on these pictures, and lots of people from the neighborhood commute and exercise down this road - not only is this delay putting me and my family at risk, but also other unsuspecting bystanders.

I completely understand your concerns. That is a lot of bees to keep track of when outside, especially with children that have allergies. I have reached out directly to our local technician team in the area. I requested they unlock the pedestal as soon as possible so the hive can be removed. I'm going to keep an eye out for updates and as soon as I hear back I will let you know.

Ok thank you and yes, please follow-up and get back to me.  I expect that the tech will call me before he comes since I also need to coordinate with some of the local bee keepers or exterminators (whomever just happens to be available) -- I also want to understand something:

Since the infestation is inside Comcast property and is Comcast responsibility as well as liability - shouldn't your company cover the cost of re-homing or exterminating these bees?

You're welcome, I don't see any updates currently and have asked to be kept in the loop throughout the process. That is a great question in regard to the removal of the bees. You won't need to do anything on your part, our dedicated partners will take care of everything at the pedestal with the bees. Your contact information was provided, so you should be contacted from the team as well. As soon as I have more information, I'll definitely let you know. Thank you again for your time working with me, and your understanding while I await an update.

Hi just wanted to let you know that Comcast came by with the key and an exterminator and the problem has (hopefully been resolved).  I am sending photos  - the picture with the bucket shows the amount of honey and honeycombs that were removed from inside the pedestal - thank you for all

your help.

I have a bee colony that has set up home in a Comcast box.   Have done what I can do to remove them, but the box must be unlocked to insure the hive is 100% removed.....  How do I get assistance from Comcast to unlock or remove bees?   I live in Cypress Texas
