Bait & Switch Scam

On 3/20/23, during the course of a call about my bill, the agent offered to save me $15/ month while keeping all of the same services. He assured me multiple times throughout the call that my services would not change, so I agreed, because $15 is $15. Well, that was NOT the case. As a result of the change, I lost access to one of my movie channels, and my DVR service was drastically reduced, among other things. I had to resubscribe to Showtime, which nullified any savings I supposedly was receiving, and I have not been able to resolve the DVR issue. My old plan is no longer available, so they cannot reverse it. Now I'm stuck with a worse plan for the same money, plus the prorated charges that resulted from the change, and I'm locked into a new contract, so even if i wanted to cancel cable i would be stuck with fees. I feel like this was a bait and switch to get me off the old plan so xfinity could make more money and provide fewer services. Xfinity refuses to make the issue right, forcing me to file complaints with BBB & CPUC. All I asked was a monthly credit for the upgraded DVR service that they took from me with the change (where i was promised i would lose nothing). I even said i would eat the cost of re-adding Showtime. I was scammed. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a service provider.
