Audio issue with NBC Sunday Night Football

During NBC Sunday Night Football, the announcer dialogue is overwhelmed by the stadium crowd on all three of my Xfinity TVs. Commercials on the same channel sound completely normal, and the same SNF game through Xfinity Stream on my PC has clear announcers. Other NFL broadcasts are normal. Changing the Xfinity box between Stereo, Auto Detect and Expert Mode does not correct it. Please have Engineering check the SNF linear-TV audio feed and channel mapping. Can this issue be resolved?

Rallyone Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. It is likely how the broadcast was received that caused the stadium noise to overwhelm the announcer. The best option, so we can troubleshoot in real time, would be to let us know if the issue persists on any other games on NBC.

It is just NBC sports. Their NBA broadcasts are just as bad as SNF. Either Xfinity or NBC is manipulating the crowd noise. It is not my TV because it is the same on all my TVs of different brands. It is crystal clear on all other networks. It doesn't matter how I setup the sound. I had to quit watching the Spurs vs. Thunder game a few days ago because I couldn't stand the noise. Am I going to have to put up with this the entire season?

Rallyone, I've checked if we had any known issues we've been working on regarding the audio on NBC, but I didn't see any open tickets. If it's only affecting this one network, it may be a result of their broadcast. Do you notice any audio issues for non-live events or shows on NBC?

@XfinityVianney No problems with other NBC broadcasts. I hear the pregame, halftime and postgame shows perfectly. I watch the Nightly News everyday with no problems, same with the Tonight Show and Late Night. Hear them just fine. It's just NBC sports, all other network sports ESPN, CBS, NBC etc. are perfectly fine. I tried every sound setting on my Samsung and it doesn't make much difference. My other TVs are a Samsung and Polaroid and I have the same issue.  Next time I am going to try watching it on my PC.  I can use CC but it can't keep up with the play by play and it distracts from the game.

My Wife and I tried to watch a NBA game on NBC and all we could hear was the crowd. The weird thing was that you could hear the crowd chanting "Defense" or some sort of chanting you would hear at a Intranational Soccer game. But looking right at the crowd, they are just sitting there watching the game. It was so annoying that we quit watching it. They have to be manipulating the crowd noise.

@user_o5hzct sorry to hear this is still affecting your viewing experience. Is this only on one channel? If so, this is most likely how the broadcast was sent to us. You can double-check the Xfinity TV audio troubleshooting as well.

NBC Sunday Night Football is playing in Spanish through Xfinity Stream on my computer, but the commercials are in English. Xfinity Stream Language Settings shows Audio Options = English. Peacock is streaming the exact same game in English on the same computer, so the computer and audio settings are working correctly. This appears to be an Xfinity Stream/NBC audio-feed problem. Please report this to your video engineering team and investigate the NBC live feed.
