Assistance with Moving Internet Service

I am planning to move to my new apartment, but the new address is being recognized as a business address. What should I do to transfer my internet service?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, @user_x4cj2g. Thank you for making us aware your address is being recognized as a business. I would be more than happy to help get that updated so that we can then activate your residential account.

Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section.

Hi there, user_nd94p7! Congratulations on your upcoming move! That's such an exciting time, even though it can be a bit hectic. I'm so happy you reached out to us here on the Xfinity Community Forums, and I'd absolutely love to help you cross one thing off that moving to-do list!

Let's get your Xfinity services transferred smoothly to your new place. To get started, could you please send me a direct message with your name, your current address, and your new address? I'm looking forward to helping you get settled in!

To send a "Direct Message" message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon at the top of the page (it looks like a text bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list that appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
