Assistance Needed- Forgot Password to Gateway Admin
I’m posting here because I can’t get into contact with anyone. I changed my password to the Gateway Admin management from password to something else but now I forgot and can’t login. Tried to contact support and am just fed AI - I’m very disappointed with the (lack of) service as a platinum member. If anyone has direct contact info or know how to reset, I appreciate it.

@user_dxf1u0 - Hi there. First, thank you for being a Platinum member! I completely understand how frustrating it is to get stuck in an automated loop when you just need a straightforward answer, but I'm here to help you get this sorted out.
Because the Gateway Admin tool (10.0.0.1) is stored locally on your equipment for security, we actually can't see or reset that specific password for you. The only way to regain access is to perform a physical factory reset on your gateway.
Here is exactly how to do it: Locate the Reset button on the back of your gateway. (Depending on your model, it might be a small pinhole or a physical button). Press and hold it down for a full 30 seconds until the lights flash, then release. Wait about 10–15 minutes for the gateway to fully reboot and come back online.
Please note that doing this will reset everything back to factory defaults. This means your admin login will go back to the default (Username: admin | Password: password), but it will also wipe out your custom Wi-Fi name and password. You will need to set those up again using the Xfinity app once it boots back up.
