Asking for SSN - DOB and to input CC # on keypad

I was trying to upgrade my system and the rep asked for my DOB, and full SSN put on the keypad.

i had just paid my bill through the app while going through the upgrade process. Then the agent wanted me to input my Full Credit Card number in the keplypad. He assured me it was safe and protected. My phone isn’t encrypted- how can he assure me of such. Why is Xfinity asking me to input information that they already have on file or can be accessed through the app?

I feel like I am being scammed and my identity was just attempted to be hijacked.
