user_a6be31, Thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Support. It is always good to err on the side of caution.

  1. Be suspicious of any email asking for personal information, as legitimate companies will not request passwords or billing details via email.
  2. Avoid clicking links; instead, type the company's website directly into the browser.
  3. Verify the sender's email address for authenticity.
  4. Look for signs of phishing, such as poor grammar or urgent requests.
  5. If in doubt, contact the company directly using a verified phone number, not the one provided in the email.

For further details, they can report the email to the Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC) at Comcast.
