As soon as I can figure out an alternative I'm done

And not just with Xfinity, but with NBC, Peacock, Universal... all of it.

My Internet has been going down in the middle of the day for several hours off and on for weeks, usually when I'm working. Talking to support is the worst thing ever - they don't know anything.  But worse, they lie.  I caught 2 of them in a lie and they just "escalated" me to their buddy in the cube next door.  "Upgrading service in your area" and "This was the last time".  Both lies. In fact, service went down in the middle of him saying that.

So I called to cancel service - they just trick you to signing something while they pretend to talk to the "advanced repair department".  I've done networking for almost 35 years - you can't fool me with [Edited: "Language"] like "the root folder on your router" and the "appliance is bad".  Make up better lies.

I've been fooled into believing once again that "someone local will call me back".  They said within two hours (it's been over an hour).  I said I'll give you 48 hours, but then I'm done. Permanently.  I don't care if I have to dial-up to get my Internet.  I know AOL isn't offering options, but someone is.

I've also filed FCC and state utility board complaints and [Edited: "Solicitation"]  Maybe some day they'll figure out why their revenue is declining and regulators are all over them.  Maybe.  Probably not in my lifetime, but still.  Complaints take just a few minutes to file - but be specific.
