Appears to be the same Model Gateway XB8-T

I was in my Xfinity App trying to get assistance with buffering issues, when I saw that I was due for an equipment upgrade. I agreed to the upgrade and when I received the new gateway it was a model XB8-T (noted on the back), the same model I already have installed, but when I check the my current equipment in the Xfinity App says it's an XB-8. I'm confused.

I don't want to go through with installing the gateway if this is the same model inside and out. Can someone advise me if they really are the same gateways?

couch_potato Thanks for posting on our Community Forums. Does sound strange that you'd receive the same modem, especially when the XB8 model is the newest one we have available. Do both of the modems look like the one in this article?
