Any loyalty or discount options after student offer ends?

Hi Xfinity customer care,

I’ve been using Xfinity home internet on the student discount for over a year, and that promotion recently ended. My bill has now gone up, and honestly, it’s becoming difficult for me to afford as a student.

I’d really like to stay with Xfinity, but the current price is too high for me. Could anyone suggest how I might qualify for other discounts or alternative promotions?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hey there, user_avx4im! Thanks for posting on our XFINITY Community forum regarding your recent billing increase. We agree it is super important to be able to receive a service plan that fits within your financial budget as a student as well. By chance, have you been able to log in to our XFINITY Student Offers page to check further eligibility options as a student? Let us know if you need any further assistance, as we are always happy to assist!

Thanks Natalie,

I’m currently on the 300 Mbps plan at $70 per month and have another discount applied (not a student discount), so my bill comes to $49. I just checked and noticed that the 500 Mbps plan is currently listed at $55 per month.

If I switched to that plan and applied the same student discount, would my bill be reduced to around $29 per month? Could you please check my account if that’s possible and confirm whether the $55/month rate is locked in for one year?

Thank you so much for your help!
