Another property has been randomly tied to my phone number

I don't know how this happened — as of this week, my phone number is connected to 2 properties, mine and someone else's. I have no record of this and did not approve.

I spent over an hour with support that claimed they removed any association with my phone number outside my own, not the case. It's still linked to my phone number. How is this possible?

xfinity012 It is possible that there was a typo when another customer entered their information, causing the phone number to be linked to both accounts. Typically, I would allow a few business days after the phone number is removed to see that any notifications stop being sent from the other account.

@XfinityThomasD Hey Thomas, thanks for your response! What's weird is the user is from a completely different state. Can this cause any issues, is this or could this be related to fraud? I swept through my account and found secondary users with limited permissions (all sharing my name) that I removed.

If there is any indication of fraudulent activity, such as the random usernames appearing on your account, I would recommend contacting our Customer Security Assurance team so they can investigate a bit deeper. You can create a report, and they will be in touch to review any additional information.
