After system update black screen on tv; no signal?

Xfinity did an automatic system update. Now the screen is black stuck on the last channel I was watching with the 3 dots just moving. Did a restart 3 times. Still black screen. All other tv boxes work and have pictures. TV is set to the correct channel.

Xfinity displays a message when I change the channel for another station "sorry we are having some trouble. We are working to fix  this quickly". It's been several hrs now.

Do I need to come in and get a new TV box?
