@user_3138i4, Thank you for taking the time to give that a try. In the meantime, do you have any other devices that you can try testing to see if the same issue exists?

I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling the xfinity app (the purple one). I am still facing the same problem that is depicted in the screenshots above. I do not have any other devices to test it with. I would try it with my desktop, but windows subsystem for Linux and the google play store installed on windows 11 isn’t quite ready yet to play nicely with the Xfinity app.

Thanks for attempting to uninstall and reinstall the app. Just one last thing to check on, is your modem in bridge modem by chance?

Your Advanced Security App from the Google Play Store has stopped working as of December 14, 2023. It was working yesterday. I called and did everything you are supposed to do. It seems to be a new app issue. Basically, the Advanced Security portion of the app shut itself off and no matter what I can't get it back on again. It keeps saying that Advanced Security is off no matter what I do. I tried 3 different device types, two different phones and even a tablet. I spent an hour on the phone with two or three of your Xfinity representatives trying to get this fixed to no avail. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, force stopping, clearing my cache, clearing my data, clearing my full browsing history, signing out and back in again, restarting my modem/gateway. Nothing fixes the Advanced Security. It just remains off no matter what I do. It seems to me that the problem is not on my end, but the App's end, especially with all of the troubleshooting that was done. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@user_4p2tvn  Thanks for letting us know! Try the steps below to ensure everything is set up correctly.

1 Ensure your model of gateway is currently eligible for Advanced Security. You can see which ones here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/broadband-gateways-userguides.

2 Sign in to the Xfinity app and make sure your gateway is online.
You should see "Looking good. Your network is online" in the header of the Overview.

3 Then, restart your gateway to install the latest software.
You may need to restart twice for the full install.
You can do this from a card on the Overview page.

Once your gateway is online again, sign back in to the Xfinity app as the primary user, and enable the Advanced Security.
