Additional IP and x10 Upgrade
Hi, I’m trying to figure out if I can add a second IP to my account or multiple IPs. I did find this link.. https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/internet/answered-how-to-get-multiple-ipv4-addresses-for-your-modem/602daff6c5375f08cd1db24c
I tried it out and I didn’t notice the additional IP line but not sure if anything has changed in 3-4 years since this posted so just wanted to ask.
I also want to upgrade to the x10 service in the near future. I was told it was a $1000 installation fee but my rate card states up to $500. I wanted to confirm the actual cost since it’s a pretty big difference. Also, if I get this x10 service, can I add additional IPs to that service? How many if so?
Appreciate all the help, thanks!

The concern is not "Community Knowledge Base" related. Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@ccigas Hello there! Thanks for reaching out to us on our forums for help with details about adding an IP address and our X10 gigabit service.
I know when I started with the company many moons ago we offered the ability to add additional IP address for residential customers nationwide, but it was slowly discontinued and now may only be available in limited areas, mostly in our West division. We would need to check your account to know if it is an eligible option in your area.
For our gigabit x10 service there is an installation charge and an activation charge, each being $500.00 totaling $1,000.00. The monthly cost for the service is $299.95 plus the equipment rental of $19.95 a month. The service also requires a 24-month agreement with an early termination fee.
