Adding internet to existing xi tv service
We have had comcast xfinity cable tv for 38 years. I am considering adding internet service but have questions regarding wiring. Serice currently comes into my basement and the nuns through a splitter to sent cable to tvs on first and second floor. If I get internet service with the modem/router, will technician rewir the cable lines so that the modem is on the first floor next to my computer and then run the coaxial through a splitter to my two cable boxes? I thought I read somewhere that technicians will not change existing wiring. Tia
