Add second address to account

My partner and I are moving into a new home in the same metro area in a month. 

We would like service at the new address in addition to our current address for the next 30/45 days until we are fully moved. We will end service at the old/current address when the transition is done.

how do I add a second address to my existing account?  The AI assistance chat  is not helpful and provides me the wrong information for other needs not what I want.

You can't add a second address to your account, you will need a brand new account at the second address.

Based on this forum and internet searches this is something Xfinity does assist with. Is this a recent change they have stopped?

It's always been this way.  An account number is "tied" to an address.  Different addresses, different account [numbers].  You can link the accounts together, however.
