I just activated a used iPhone 15 Pro with an eSIM card.  It didn't work smoothly.  But finally we are successful.  I used Xfinity Customer Support from somewhere and they were supportive, but the real problem was with the used phone.

You have to delete the existing eSIMs on the used phone before the activation will take.

Settings/Cellular.  Look at eSIMs.  Click on any existing eSIMs or phone numbers.  At the bottom of that page, will the the click-box to "Delete eSIM."  Click that twice.  That will delete the old ID.

Do this for as many as are there.  Then get the activation from Xfinity Mobile, whether it is a QR code or a "Push Notification," and you should be good to go.  Your activation should take quickly and easily.

Mine took about 5 minutes after I messed about for hours not knowing that my problem was the existing eSIMs.
