Activate WiFi without app

My iPhone 8 is no longer supported by the xfinity app. I got a new gateway and I need to activate it without the app.

Good evening @user_gxwy64, and thank you for reaching out on our Forums with your activation concerns, I see that you need assistance activating your gateway without the app. Our team can definitely help! To start, please plug in the coaxial cable from the wall outlet to the gateway, and then plug the gateway into a power outlet. You can then try to connect a device to the modem via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi and go to https://register.be.xfinity.com/activate. Please let us know if this works! If not, we can activate your equipment on our end. :)

Ok, thank you for letting us know @user_gxwy64. We can assist with activating your gateway. To get started, can you please send us a Direct Message with your first and last name along with the service address on the account? 

To send a "Direct Message" ("Private") message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

  • Click the "Direct Message chat" icon
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  • Press Enter to send it
