ACP-Eligible Customer Discount

My mother is disabled. We have been loyal Xfinity customers for several years and have appreciated the discounts previously available through the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), which allowed us to maintain our service at a reasonable rate.

As you know, the ACP benefit ended last year. At that time, Xfinity extended us an ACP-eligible customer discount of $35/month until the end of last year - which then increased to $43/month. Now, as of our May 2025 bill, we have seen a significant price increase: our bill is now $87/month, and even with the $10/month credit for paperless billing and automatic payments, the total is $77/month. This is more than double what we were paying previously, and it is a substantial burden for my mother.

I have tried contacting customer service to discuss this situation, but my experiences have been frustrating. It has been difficult to reach a live agent, and when I have, the representatives have not been able to offer any solutions beyond the current $81/month rate (before credits). My mother’s disability makes it especially important for us to keep our costs manageable.

We are kindly asking if Xfinity can extend us a lower rate again, as a courtesy to a longstanding customer with a disabled resident. If we are unable to secure a more affordable rate, we will unfortunately need to explore cheaper options with other providers.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
