Did anything ever get taken care of? I have the same issue and I have called, chated, literally spent over 5 hours collectively on the phone and nothing has been done.
I was sent a sim card for service, phone carrier would not release phone so I did not activate the xfinity Sim card and kept the original provider. Now that enough time passed that I can take my phone to a new carrier, I am told I am prohibited from having an account with xfinity. I have 4 lines I was trying to bring from Verizon to xfinity and no one seemed to care except for me. No one can even tell me if the issue is able to be resolved or not.

Yes, I have home internet and TV account, a mobile account does show up on my xfinity app however, I've never had service. Because the original phone service would not release the phone for another 6 months, I had to wait. That was 2 years ago and no one can help me to get service. At this time, I'm so upset and ready to do my upgrade with Verizon and renew my account because it has been a waste of time trying to move my 4 lines to xfinity. Literally wasted over 5 hours and you should be able to see all the notes on my account from people calling me back to look into this to me speaking with every department including a lady who kept using the mute button for over an hour on me and finally said "sorry you cannot have an account with us!"
