Accidentally added my email and phone number to wrong account

When my boyfriend and I moved in together several years ago, he initially set up the account but I'm the one who pays the bills. So I retroactively went to add my email and phone number to the account so I could take care of things. I did not know that his parents account is under a very similar username and so I accidentally added my info there. This prevents me from adding my info the my actual account. How do I remove my email and phone number from their account so I can add them to mine?

Hello ryjbritton thank you for reaching out in our Xfinity Forums. We are here to help you, and happy to do so. The easiest method of removing your phone number and email address from an account is for the account holder to do so using the app, or at xfinity.com. 

The steps are as follows: To change your contact information for an Xfinity account, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Xfinity app or go to the Xfinity website and sign in.
  2. Click the **Account** icon and navigate to **Account and Identity**.
  3. Select **Account Communications**.
  4. To add or change a mobile number, click **Add mobile number** or select the existing number to change it.
  5. For email changes, choose **Add personal email** or select the existing email to change it.
  6. Verify your identity via the app or a code sent to your email/phone.

Follow the prompts to complete the updates.
