8+ Hours Trying to Buy Xfinity Mobile — Customer Experience Escalation

I honestly don’t even know where to start with how bad this experience was.

I spent more than 7 hours trying to buy 3 phones from Xfinity after Xfinity itself sent me a promotion inviting me to move my family’s mobile service.

I called on Monday, and it took me 2 hours just to get the essential information about the offer THEY sent me.
Then I called back a day after, they did an acceptable offer, but they keep "talking" and making you send messages every 2minutes, so you actually don't have time to properly evaluate the offer;  I finally closed the deal, then I stopped, did the math myself, and realized the deal made absolutely no sense. It was significantly more expensive than simply buying the phones at full price and keeping my current carrier. So I canceled.

When I explained why I was canceling, I was offered other alternatives. And this is where it became completely ridiculous.

I spent around 4 more hours being told that something could be done, only to be told: “Actually, no, that is not possible.” Then another offer. Then another limitation. Then another promise. And in the end, after all that, they basically got to the same offer I had already declined 4 hours earlier! Seriously?

At this point, this is not even about the price anymore. It is about how disrespectful this is to a customer’s time.

I have a life. I have work, family, responsibilities. I cannot spend 8+ hours trying to buy phones because the information keeps changing during the conversation.

Every time we need anything from Xfinity, is the same. If you have a simple question about the service or a bill or anything and need to get in touch with them is always the same disrespect. I just want Xfinity to understand how absurd this customer experience was. Honestly, after this, I am much more likely to move the services I already have with Xfinity somewhere else than to add anything new.

Agree with someone who said, "They purposely infuriate people to the point where they give up on trying to get anywhere. So I'm going elsewhere."

Hello @user_z4mt5v, Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your day to leave a post on our community forum, and we would be happy to help. I will need to pull up your account to investigate this further. If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you. Click "Sign In" (If necessary). Click the "Direct Messaging" Icon. Click the "Start New Conversation" (pencil and paper) icon. In the “To:” line, type "Xfinity Support". As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window. Press Enter to send it. How to: Direct Message Within The Forum.
