4th Drop Bury Work Order and Still No Service
I recently scheduled to transfer my Xfinity service. Xfinity confirmed the service transfer and set an appointment for August 5th. When the technician came on August 5th he said a drop bury request needed to be submitted because the conduit where the line was supposed to be coming out was missing the cable. He scheduled the first drop bury request and said it would be a two-week window for when they would come out. A couple days later some guys show up at the house and are opening the TV Cable boxes in the street and looking around. They ask to use an outlet in our garage and we let them. Then they leave without saying anything. I call the Xfinity 800 number and speak to a rep and they tell me that the notes say the drop bury request was cancelled at my request. I never requested that - I'm trying to get service, not cancel it. So a second drop bury work order is created and we wait another two weeks. No one shows. I call in. They promise to escalate it and open a THIRD drop bury request. This time the rep tells me they can schedule it for a specific date - September 15th. I questioned him and say that's counter to what I've been told the first two times. He and his supervisor assure me its legit and will be taken care of. September 15th comes and the day goes by with no one showing up so I call that evening. The rep tries to contact the dispatch team but gets no response. Says there's nothing else she can do other than update the notes. I call in today, Sept 16th, and the rep I get tells me the work order was cancelled last night at 10pm. Are you kidding me?!?! Tells me the only thing he can do is open a FOURTH work order for the drop bury and add all the notes. Tells me his supervisor is escalating it. When I press him to understand what escalating it does (because that was supposedly done on the last two orders) he confesses that it's just adding notes to the work order to make it sound more important, but that if no one reads the notes than it really doesn't help. I ask if there's any other route I can take to talk to someone to expedite this he says no. I've been waiting SIX WEEKS due to incompetent Xfinity employees cancelling these work orders, no one can contact the drop bury contractors, and now I'm waiting another two weeks. This is absurd. I live in san francisco, not the Alaskan wilderness. The conduit is already there. My neighbors have Comcast. Why is this taking so long to get someone to come fish a wire through the conduit? Why do Xfinity employees keep cancelling the Work Orders? Can someone competent PLEASE make something happen?
