I did the same thing, not knowing the 4k box was needed. but there is a big difference in the picture with the 4k box
I got a the 4k wireless box from the Comcast store, but have had the signal lost and had to reset a couple of times, not sure if that was weather related, or bad wifi ?
Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I've got a few of the wireless boxes and it's not often I have signal issues with them. If the main hub is having issues it can knock them offline as they rely on that wired box to maintain a connection, the exception being if you don't have cable services and have our Flex service. Have you already checked that the coax connection between the modem and the wall plate, as well as your primary cable box and the wall plate are secure? How often do you see the boxes losing connection? When the boxes lose connection are you also losing your Wi-Fi connection as well?

the 4K DVR or the Xi6 wireless (requires a hub in home and an Xg3/6/7 xfinity gateway-modem.
