4k box compatible with Xfinity new updates

I have been having issues since September.   Xfinity themselves seem confused.  Finally a new tech told me that Xfinity did upgrades in the area and my box wasn’t compatible with the “MOCA” updates Xfinity made.  However, he installed a non 4K box, not sure why he would do that!  I have already spent $300 with an AV guy to get surround sound, since the new box doesnt have Audio ports.  My AV guy told me i dont have a 4k box.  When i go into the store repeatedly, they never have one in stock!  So, i need to order one that is compatible with XFINITY new uogrades.  Thats what TECH told me but no one at  XFINITY knows what that means!  Im ready to cancel!    Can anyone help?????

Good afternoon user_vy46co. You have reached the right team! I will be more than happy to take a look at your account, and to assist further.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forums page.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send it.
