Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@999bga Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. Have you by chance already contacted the seller you purchased this modem from to have them reach out and request we remove the modem from the last account it was active on?

Seller is not the original owner of the modem, so he can't do anything.

I don't understand why Xfinity network doesn't have option to automatically purge MACs of inactive/disconnected devices within certain period of time.

@999bga Thank you for confirming that, I'm happy to see what options we have available to help you out. Please send us a DM to Xfinity Support with your full name and address to get started.

To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it

Newer mind. Looks like different tech was able to do exactly what needed to be done. Case closed

Thank you.
