3 days Full Outage No credit

I live in Woodbridge and had outage from July 4 to July 7. I could not work from home so had to drive 26 miles to get to office to work. 

When requesting for credit The app says ‘ … outages caused by weather or maintenance are ineligible for a credit.’ Do I really have to go to their office and ask to cancel to receive credit as other people are saying ?!
