2 step verification not receiving text message with security code

No longer receiving security code as a text message to my phone, have to use email as an alternative. I do receive text message from other providers for 2 step verification; problem is isolated only to Xfinity. Turning off/on phone and turn off/on 2 step verification with no change, still a problem, have also tried resend code option with no luck.

I resolved the problem by resetting the phone to factory settings, same resolution I had 2 years ago. I still have the same question why I do i have this issue with only Xfinity.  I Receive security codes via text message from other sites with NO issue! Why only Xfinity?

Good afternoon JV04. I am glad to hear you have resolved this. We could certainly bring this information forward for you. How often does this happen? Have you updated or changed any contact information on your profile with us recently, by any chance?

The last time it occurred was about 2 years ago with a different phone and the problem reoccurred a few days ago. I didn't make any contact changes. Even though I resolved the problem again by resetting the phone to factory settings why do I only have this problem with Xfinity?

JV04 That is never the experience we want a valued member of the Xfinity family to be having. I have been confirming codes with customers all morning with zero issues.

I know the problem is difficult to understand and I would accept that is possibly because of unique settings on my phone, but the problem occurred on diff phones. Again. I have no issues with other providers that send the code via a text message.

JV04 We truly understand the device is not receiving the codes, and we greatly want to help address everything. I had just sent over and confirmed a code a with different customer a couple of minutes ago.

Thanks for your help, since I am now receiving text codes from Xfinity it is a closed issue until it happens again.
