Customer Service Issue unresolved

This issue began at approximately 10:00am on Friday January 16th.  I sat down to watch tv and I received an error message on the tv.  I proceeded to reboot the cable box to attempt to fix the issue myself.  This failed.

I then called the Comcast’s service line and spoke with a representative who did numerous “things” on the Comcast end.  Ultimately, I was advised that it would take a few hours for the technical people to repair my issue.  I was advised I would receive a text message in a few hours indicating that the problem had been resolved and that I would receive other instructions at that time.  This call lasted in excess of 45 minutes.

I did not receive a text message nor any other communication from Comcast.

Three hours later I initiated contacted the Comcast customer service line again.  I spoke with an individual who gave me their name as Jane.

Jane, service person, reviewed my file and kept kept telling me I have a scheduled appointment for the 18th between, I believe Jane said between 1 and 4.  I told Jane that I did not authorize any technician to come to my residence at that time and definelty not Sunday.  Jane kept repeating the scheduled technician time, until I lost patience and asked to speak with a supervisor or manger as I was obviously getting absolutely nowhere. Jane said the supervisor would tell me the same thing.

Eventually Jane said he will transfer me to his supervisor.  I asked for the supervisors name and after numerous requests finally got the name Danny.  I also requested a telephone number for the supervisor and was told that is a personal number and he could not give it out.  Jane advised me the number to reach the supervisor was the regular Comcast customer service number.

Five minutes of wait time Jane came back on the line and advised he was transferring me to his supervisor.  I have now been on hold for in excess of 20 minutes while I type this email up.

The telephone call has now been terminated, not by me.

All for want of watching a tv in my living room.
