Yet another case: Closed account with zero balance turns to collections of $149+

I cancelled all services - both ISP and their promotional free mobile line - on [EDIT] 7 June 2026 7 July 2026. I have since received numerous threats regarding money owed (now ~$149) that are going to collections for service cancelled months ago.

I call. They say you don't owe anything, it's a clerical issue. BUT, the first rep never cancelled your mobile line (that I did not even need). You will not be harassed any further, but I will have to escalate the case.

No followup.

I call again: same story. It is cancelled now, but I will have to escalate the matter again "for an investigation".

No followup.

I have spent 2.5hrs reintroducing myself to the "wrong" billing department over and over and over again, to no avail! Nobody sees my supposed debt except one billing department, who claims that the line is STILL ACTIVE, but that they cannot access "that part of the bill because the service was cancelled". Then I was hung up on.

What?!

I need resolution to this once and for all. I need an actual supervisor to handle this. Please advise as your direct messaging system is not even functional at this time.

Hi there @user_2dw9xm Thank you so much for reaching out on our Xfinity Community Forum.  I can assure you that is not the experience we want for you as a valued Xfinity customer.  I'll be happy to assist.  You mentioned you were told the matter had been escalated.  Did they provide a ticket number?
