Xfinity wrongly charging and using debt collectors!
I would be very careful of using Xfinity services!
My wife and I disconnected when we moved about three months ago. We were explicitly promised that since our new address is not serviced by Comcast, there would be no early termination fee applied. About a month ago, we received a letter from a debt collector regarding a nearly $150 charge for an early termination fee. About 10 phone calls to Xfinity all ended with a promise from agents and supervisors that this charge is wrong and will be cancelled, but all they did was open a ticket which was closed about half an hour later, with no action taken. Nobody on Xfinity's phone teams has any idea what they're doing or how to solve the problems that they created.
Xfinity not only makes false charges to its customers, trying to make a quick buck. They use debt collectors without any prior warning because they don't mind hurting their customers' credit and good standing in the process. Shame!
