Xfinity Support - Trying to Cancel Account

I am beyond frustrated with Xfinity.  I canceled Xfinity's cable and internet service at my home since I was moving back on 6/22/2026.  I received the confirmation email and also spoke with a live human being and then also returned all of my cable boxes / equipment.  I assumed everything was done but Xfinity has NOT actually cancelled my service and even hit my checking account for July's bill.  Once I realized this I called again a few weeks ago and spent over an hour on the phone having to explain the situation to two different people.  The second person I spoke with assured me my account was cancelled and that I would receive a refund (I even received a cancellation confirmation number).  Today I received a past-due notice on my Xfinity account and also another bill for August.  Xfinity - you need to fix this ASAP.  I am so frustrated having to spend my time dealing with this.  It's clear to me that you're trying to scam people that want to cancel their service by not actually letting them leave your service - just let me go!  I was contemplating going back to Xfinity in the future but there is zero chance I will after this debacle.

This EXACT thing is happening to me. I have cancelled service MULTIPLE times and they continue to charge me. I have confirmation numbers, email confirmations and recorded phone calls. This is absolutely illegal. I recommend contacting local journalists, I've found them to be super interested!
