Xfinity internet plan change without consent

We had signed up for a downgraded plan prior to moving last year from 800 mbps to 200 mbps. Starting March though, the price had increased from around $87 to $125. Looking back at our emails, there was an email from Xfinity saying that there would be a 100 mbps speed increase without any additional cost, but reviewing our plan on the website shows that the our plan had gone to 400 mbps instead without any consultation from a represntative from Xfinity. The plan name is the same, but the price does not match what we had originally and there was not an option to go to a plan that had our original speed and pricing.

I'll need to dive into the account to confirm the promotion and price. This way I can give you the most accurate information. I'm sure seeing changes you weren't aware of was likely confusing, but I'll do my best to help provide some clarity. Please send me a direct message with your full name and service address to get started.

To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a Direct Message.
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
