Xfinity installation fee not waived after being assured

I had posted here prior about possibly switching to Verizon since it seems our residence has prior installation of a Verizon ONT box, but decided to stick with xfinity since a rep promised that the installation fee would be waived as a courtesy. But for the latest billing cycle, I was charged $100 despite the promise and I'm not sure why. On top of that, the wifi is still really excruciatingly slow and considering this ridiculous charge I'm considering just switching to Verizon after all, especially if there's no further support with this $100 charge that was supposed to be waived

Good day to you. Thanks for reaching back out. I know how important it is to receive what was promised and to have reliable service as a customer myself. I would have the same concern if I were charged more than what I was expecting. I am sorry to learn about this experience, and that the Wi-Fi is still working slowly. Welcome back to the right place. Our team of experts is happy to help. Over social media, we are required to confirm who we are speaking with and your full address every 7 days. To get started, please send us a direct message with your first/last name and full address. You can start by clicking the "direct message" icon in the upper right page of our forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle Xfinity Support to send us a direct message.

@user_ai5n33, Hi. I just wanted to thank you again for your business and for allowing us to help resolve the installation fee concern over direct message. As a reminder, don't forget about our XFINITY app, which is a great digital option for troubleshooting Internet service issues. My favorite is running an internet health test via the Xfinity app. Have a great day!
