Xfinity help please - I need to lower my bill so I don't need to cancel my Xfintiy account and go to a competitor ISP

I'm a long-time Xfinity customer and just received a text showing that my Xfinity bill of $40.00/month is increasing to nearly $50/mo.. I looked in my online account billing section and found the below explanation:
  • Beginning August 19, 2021, GAC will be moved from Digital Preferred & Preferred+ to Digital Starter & Extra/Entertainment Genre Pack.

I can't afford to pay $50/mo, and I don't have any need for an Extra/Entertainment Genre Pack.   I looked at my Xfinity Plan options in my online "Change Plan" menu it has a $40/mo Digital Preferred & Preferred+ plan (the one that I currently have/had) but is only available to new customers.

Can someone help met get back to my $40/month Digital Preferred & Preferred+ plan, so I can continue to stay with Xfinity and not switch to another ISP?

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us: 
 • Click "Sign In" if necessary
 • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)
 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
 • Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 • Press Enter to send your message
