Xfinity asking me to return equipment that I never had

Hello, I keep receiving texts/emails from Xfinity/Comcast to return equipment that I never had (cable box). When I opened my account, I performed a self-install for Internet and that's it. I never even had cable tv service. I used my own cable modem and router that I purchased from a big box store. Why do I keep getting these notifications? Is this a Xfinity/Comcast scam for cancelling the service? I see a lot these exact same situations posted here and on the Internet. Please, I do not want to be charged for something that I never had. Thank you.

Hello, @user_bdb7ee. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience these notifications are causing you. I appreciate you making us aware you never received a device from us via Forums. I'd be more than happy to review your account to see what these texts/emails are all about.

In order to get started, can you please send me a private message to Xfinity Support with your full name and full address by clicking the chat icon in the top right?

@XfinityRaul Hello, I have called in as well. It seems I am no longer receiving messages to return phantom equipment. Thank you for your help!
