Xfinity annual contract problems

I need some help with my Xfinity contract for 2025.  My last contract expired in Jan 2025 and had a lower rate. I tried to renew it in Dec 2024, but was told that prices had gone up significantly.

I  signed a 12 month renewal with an agent on Jan 7, 2025 at a stated contract price of $218/month.  Yesterday I received an email reminder that I will be billed $237 next week.  I called Customer Service twice yesterday and was told that Xfinity would not honor my 4 week old contract price.

What’s going on?

Hey there, PeterA5! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums. I am very sorry to hear about the experience with the billing concerns, it certainly is not what we want for our customers to experience. We would be happy to look into the account details, and share the details regarding your promotion. Can you please send us a DM to get started?

Please send us a DM with your full name and address to Xfinity Support.
To send a direct message:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pen and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it
