Why no credit issued for no internet due to hurricane?

I lost internet and power on or around 07/08/24.  I had a downed cable line in my back yard.  I notified Xfinity about the problem and was given an escalation ticket on 07/19.  I contacted them the next day when I did not hear back from them, and they could not get to me until 07/24.  The online customer service rep tried to get me an earlier appointment, but apparently did not know how to do it, as the time slot fell through.  As a result, I had to take off 4 hours of work to wait for a tech to show up at my house.  NOTHING was ever done about the escalation ticket.  I guess that doesn't mean anything to comcast.  Imagine my surprise when I was denied a credit for lost internet service, much of which is due to ineptitude on the part of Comcast.  They are quick to take your money, but won't refund for lost wages and time spent waiting on techs.
