Why is the Franchise Fee going up each month and why was are we not given notification?

I have noticed that my bill has gone up each month due to an increase in the franchise fee.  What is your support for that and why are we not notified in advance of the increase in fees?  While my rate has not gone up, the franchise fee is not a governmental tax though lumped in with them to give that impression.  I changed our plan to reduce the costs and now Xfinity is giving the appearance of slowly and secretly trying to increase them again.

Hello @user_op0xyg Thank you for reaching out to us on our Xfinity Forums regarding the increase to the franchise fee that you are seeing. I'm sorry that this has increased and that it have come as a surprise. When any rates are changed, there is usually a notice included in the monthly statement prior to the change. I know with the ever rising costs for our daily lives it's difficult to make ends meet. While I am not able to adjust any taxes or fees on your monthly bill I may be able to help with finding a better package and service for your overall cost. Would you like me to review our options?
