I recommend checking the last few billing statements, which are available as PDFs in the Xfinity app or website, to see whether there was a recent change in services or a possible expiration of a promotional rate that caused the change in the bill. On page 3 of each statement, you can find green text that will advise of a promotional rate and expected expiration timeframe.
