why increase bill IF I signed 2 year contract
I don't understand why the bill can be raised after just signing another 2 year agreement that I can't get out of without penalty YET comcast/xfinity can raise prices. Other companies do NOT do that, they give you a price and possibly adjust service up or down and that is your price for that time period. IF price goes up, then why am I held to 2 years. the person NEVER told me it could go up or for what reasons. a rip off

Your package plan shouldn't increase, but equipment fees, taxes, and surcharges are not included in your plan unless specifically stated in your contract so are subect to increases.

Read the fine print. It is a rip-off. Comcast cannot increase the price of the cable/internet pkg. in your agreement. However, they CAN change or remove channels from your pkg. without compensation, then add them to a higher tier or another pkg. which requires an additional fee. They can also add or increase various miscellaneous charges for broadcast rights, equipment & tech., sports, etc. They just hope you won't notice.
I believe customers are able to decrease service if they want to, as long as they do not completely disconnect until the contract expires. Your best bet is to find a Comcast office, go over the agreement with a rep. in person, and write everything down. You never know who you might get on the phone.
