Why has my internet bill increased by $20/month randomly and why can't I contact a person to find out?

I've been trying to contact someone to see why my bill was increased by $20 despite the fact that if I try to lower my internet speed, the price increases even further!

Even more, I see that if I were to switch to my current speed (which it won't let me do) it says the price won't change for 5 years. I've only been at this address for 2 years and the price already increased by $3 earlier, and now it jumped to $20.

Nothing in my current or previous billing statements give any breakdown of where this number comes from, and when I try to follow the support pages it always brings me back to an AI chatbot that does not provide any more detail nor let me talk with a person.

user_dxqo7r Thanks for reaching out to us today with your need to look into new offers, and the price increase. I would be happy to help in any way I can.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
