Why do they charge $10/month more for credit card autopay than giving access to your personal information with a bank account?

I called billing support.  In order to recieve a $10/month discount on my bill through autopay I have to give up my personal checking information.
This seems unfair, since I am willing to share Credit card information and not give access to my entire bank account.

Is ther some legal precident for this?  It seems ridiculous, especially since mom and pop retailers charge 1 -2 % of a bill for credit cards over cash, and they DONT ask for personal information that is stored and can be lost in a data breah like 2023 where 36million people were affected

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi there and welcome to Comcast @user_uq53tg. Xfinity no longer offers Automatic pay discount for debit or credit cards. I am sorry you feel this is unfair. Right now you can only get discount with a stored bank account.
