Why did my courtesy month for data not apply for July?
It's been 13 months since I've exceeded my data cap last (June 2021), however now I'm being charged an overage. (July 2022) My understanding is you get a courtesy month every 12 months?

Thank you for reaching out for help with your Data plan. I can understand the concerns when you are charged for something unexpectedly. You will only be subject to overage charges if you use more than 1.2 TB for a second time in a 12-month period. If you use more than 1.2 TB one time or less in a 12-month period, your courtesy month balance will reset to one at the end of these 12 months. However, if you use more than 1.2 TB two times in a 12-month period, no more courtesy months will be given. The 12-month period begins the first time you exceed 1.2 TB.
You can keep track of your courtesy month count on your Usage Meter webpage by signing into your account or in the Xfinity My Account app for mobile devices.
Looking at the usage page, do you see any decriepncies? Send me a Private Message, and I can take a look as well.
To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it

For reference: see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/data-usage-plan , especially the "What happens if I use more than 1.2 terabytes in a month?" link.
