why did my bill go up

I have a question. I have a contract. My monthly rates went up $7.81. How is this  legal? How is this ethical?

Contracts are typically only for the actual plan price. Fees are usually not included. Comcast, and most every company, just raises fees as a back-door price increase. RSN, Broadcast, box rental, etc... have all gone up.

So Xfinity is allowed to violate a contract when their cost of business goes up slightly? What good is a contract then? I certainly have to honor my contracts with my clients when my costs go up.

user_6e75c9 We suggest going here (https://www.xfinity.com/billchanges) to find more information on rate changes and why they may happen. These changes are very similar to the rate increases our competitors do as well. We are happy to accept your feedback and we will do our best to remain competitive and ensure we are providing the best services at the best rates as much as we can.

Here is the problem. I agreed to a rate. No one explained that rate could increase. Sure I could read a 30 page contract, but people in the Xfinity store were already waiting an hour or more for service.

I find it unethical that no where is it made obvious during the signing process, that even with a signed contract, my rates can be increase. Frankly I do not care about competitors since I signed my contract with Xfinity and not them based on the rates you presented when I signed.

The concern is not "Home Networking" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
