When Does $10 Off for Ecobill/Auto Payments Kick In?

I just changed our plan today due to the previous contract expiring.  The plan emailed to me a little while ago doesn't include the $10 off each month for ecobill and automatic payments as the agent promised to me online.  Is this something I need to call about or does it take a few days for it to "kick in"?

Hello, FirecrackerGirl! What a good question. The $10 discount will be automatically applied to your account by our billing system within 45 days of enrolling in both auto-pay and paperless billing.

You Can use the My Account app to view your bills in detail to see when that discount gets applied. 🙂

Comcast Tambrey,

That 45 days delay in deducting the $10 off our bill was never ever mentioned when we did this "deal."  The representative's said that our bill would immediately be lower after we signed up for the ecobill and automatic billing.  This is really frustrating because we are retired and on a fixed income and even that 45 day wait is ridiculous because Comcast wants their money up front immediately.  So for the next month and a half we have to pay full price anyway?!  Do we get any money back for that or just lose the $10 or $20 up front?  Someone needs to tell representatives to tell ALL the truth and not cover this fact up.  I wish now we had gone without this so-called deal and just investigated AT&T more.

Yes, it's also terrible, and they often "forget" to apply the discount. I've tried 3 times to call them, they confirmed I should be receiving the discount over the phone, and it never shows up going on 2+ years. All the reps say over the phone is that is should show up any day now.

I've run into the same bait and switch situation.  I signed up for a promotional plan that should include a $10 credit (discount) per month for 12 months.  This is for paperless billing and auto payment, which I had Day 1.  It's been 5 months and no credits have shown up.  I just got off the phone (over an hour) with Customer Service.  The Customer Service Rep. tried to convince that I didn't order the promotional plan and then tried to convince me that the plan I'm on has the credit "built into it".  I held my ground and showed the actual promotional plan that I should be on and why I should be getting a credit.  They finally agreed with me.  But to "fix" the issue, they had to re-sign me up for the promotional plan.  My fingers are crossed that this actually works.  I'm hopeful because I did see a $40 credit for the back amounts that were due to me.

I believe the issue is that whenever Xfinity creates a promotion that involves a credit, they leave the standard (non-promotional) plan active.  Then what happens is that the system or Customer Service rep. incorrectly sign you up for the standard (non-promotional) plan instead of the promotional plan.  It's no surprise who wins on that "mistake".

Now on to contesting the HD Technology Fee...

2 year contract is about to end.  called comcast / xfinity.  asked about promos.  was told about 1 but rep said the $10 paperless / auto-pay discount wasn't available.  is this expected???  i am not paperless / auto-pay now.  i would think this 'discount' should be regardless of current or new customer, especially if for new 2 year contract.
