Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hello @liva, I would be more than happy to help you with your TV concerns. To begin, would you mind sending me your name and the address to your account in a Direct message?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

I am a senior and all this seam confusing, I see a video fee which I do not know what that is for and seemingly 2 programming fees and I do not want sports. So why am I being charged all this. I am 79 year old and would like to  keep the bill at a minimum. I have a computer up stairs and downstairs and occassionaly grandchildren connect. I think a $400 bill is too much when I am living on social sercurity. I am a fan of movies and mystery shows. I do not want to pay for sports and wish I could understand my bill. It seems like a lot of money $230.00. What can be done. I have tried to use the assistant but they fail to respond. Also a video price is charged, what is it and why is this a charge, it does not seem logical? Also I do not want to connect a phone, or another person to my account.  How can I resolve all this when it is so difficult to actually talk to a live person?

... This new thing called Video price what is it? Anyone knows to explain this please?

For me, through December 2024 the "Broadcast TV Fee" charge was separate from other TV service charges on my bill. Beginning in January 2025 that fee was added to the charge for my basic TV service in a subtotal called "Video Price". This is (slightly) more honest than hiding the "Broadcast TV Fee" several lines away from other charges for TV service.
